The ultimate funeral awaits those who choose to have a chip inplanted in their brains that captures every moment of their lives. Alan Hakman (Robin Williams) is a cutter, someone who edits all the material of a person's life, compressing it into a feature length film for the funeral. He sees the deviant behavior, boring everyday lives and even abusers come through his lab, yet he pretties them up for their final memory. It's an emotionally taxing job and his last assignment just might kill him.

The Final Cut is a film written and directed by Omar Naim, released in 2004. The cast includes Robin Williams, James Caviezel, Mira Sorvino and Genevieve Buechner. It was produced by the Canadian production company, Lions Gate Films and filmed entirely in Vancouver, B.C. and Berlin, Germany. The film featured original music by Brian Tyler.
