Gordon is a simple, childlike young man who holds a fascination for his favorite actress, Natalie Portman. What sets him apart from other fans is a borderline obsessive desire to meet her in real life. He willingly becomes the subject of a documentary film on America’s celebrity-obsessed culture as a part of the bargain to undertake a cross-country journey to meet Miss Portman. As the road trip progresses from West to East Coast, Gordon starts to fall apart at the seams, becoming more unhinged the closer he gets to his fantasy.
