A quirky working-class immigrant drama and a feel-good love story combine in this exceptionally honest comedy-drama. In a hard-luck Texas neighborhood, Russian immigrant Alexei (Bhagirit Crow) struggles for a piece of the American pie. His spirited teenage son Kristofer (Gabriel Luna), chases his basketball dreams and tries to win the heart of troubled local beauty Sarah (Kira Pozehl). Kristofer and Sarah's hunger to re-invent themselves tests their love for their families, their neighborhood, and each other.
