Sitcom writer and sometime playwright Paul Halpern (Academy Award Nominee David Paymer) can't buy a break. Despite a successful television career, he can’t get his private life together and his only produced play seems to carry an inexplicable curse, dooming him to endless romantic misery. His luck appears to change when he meets Carla, a producer who’s not only interested in his work, but also in him.
