The late 1990s were a strong period for Bollywood comedy, and few movies were funnier than this Shah Rukh Khan actioner. Khan is excellent in TWO roles: Bablu is a clumsy but good-hearted hotel chef, and Manu is his gangster double. Manu escapes from prison and goes after his former partners and it’s not long before he crosses paths with Bablu, kicking off a long and hilarious series of scenes involving mistaken identity, confused girlfriends, and, of course, some excellent songs.
