The great Amitabh Bachchan stars as the noble, much put-upon Master Dinanath in this odd melange of a patriotic Bollywood movie. DESH PREMEE mixes action, drama, and comedy, and features such diverse elements as freedom fighting, kidnapping, a leprous wife, racial intolerance, a criminal son, an accidental marriage, and a car accident. This 1982 film from Monmohan Desai defies easy description, but provides plenty of excitement.
