Day of Wrath

In sixteenth century Spain a sheriff (Christopher Lambert) investigates a series of grisly murders. Surrounded by religious superstition and corruption, he becomes entangled in accusations and must choose between his conscience and protecting his family. Greed, cover-ups and increasing violence challenge the sheriff to bring the wrong-doers to justice. In the tradition of "The Name of the Rose", this mystery-thriller draws the viewer into the political intrigue and dubious motivations of Europe's darker days.
