"Here's a welcome departure -- a he-man who doesn't sweat steroids." -- Washington Post
When a journalist for Newsday travels to Australia to report on the land Down Under, she discovers more about the people and culture than she expected. Sue (Linda Kozlowski) is looking for a story, and finds one when she hears about a man who fought and killed a crocodile with his bare hands. Michael J. "Crocodile" Dundee (Paul Hogan) isn't your average hero, though... his coarse behavior proves to be too much for Sue at first. Eventually his gruff exterior melts into charm, and Sue falls for the Aussie crocodile warrior, bringing him to New York. There, in the 1980's urban streets, he will face his biggest challenge-- city living.
