Two intense icons—Harvey Keitel and John Lydon (aka the Sex Pistols’ Johnny Rotten)—go head to head in this engrossing psychological thriller. A corrupt New York lieutenant investigates the murders of several policemen. An intense young man confesses privately to the crimes, and finds himself imprisoned in the lieutenant’s lush, ill-gotten apartment. Keitel and Lydon generate a bizarre but powerful chemistry, and a throbbing, jittery Ennio Morricone score amplifies the tension.
