Whether they like it or not, the residents of a small Norwegian town are connected in ways they never could have imagined. Narrowly focused on their own problems or egos, they can’t find their way into any kind of meaningful life. But when Erik, his pregnant wife Maria, her shop-lifting mother-in-law Gunvor, Maria’s pill-popping baby-sitter Elin, her midwife mother Iris, and trampoline-jumping police officer Odd ultimately collide, they’re in for a rash of surprises that will awaken every one of their snoozing souls.
