On Broadway is a charming and moving indie in the gentle tradition of Waking Ned Devine. Still mourning the loss of his uncle, working class Bostonite Jack O'Toole (Joey McIntyre) writes a play in his honor. Mounting the play's production proves difficult for Jack until an Irish pub offers him an unlikely stage, and a community gently comes together as opening night draws near. Beautifully capturing the true spirit of Boston, the filmmaking debut of playwright Dave McLaughlin co-stars Eliza Dushku (Dollhouse, Bottle Shock).
