A battered video cassette, retrieved from the trash, slowly opens a window into the grim world of a young Kurdish girl who, with her own camera, chronicles her descent into an unimaginable hell. Appearing at first to be a spoiled trophy wife, it soon becomes all too clear that her husband Parviz’s only use for Goli is for rough, degrading sex and physical and emotional abuse. When Parviz learns that she is pregnant and imprisons her in the house, Goli knows that if she doesn’t escape before the baby is born, it could very well cost her her life
