Bobby Deol’s cinematic debut (produced by his father Dharmendra) is a tragic tale of young love as only Bollywood can make. Deol is Badal, a young villager who comes to Mumbai for the first time to enroll in college. He soon meets the lovely (and rich) Tina (Twinkle Khonna). They fall in love, against her father’s objections. Badal remains steadfast in his affections for Tina, but can not see just how far her father will go to thwart their passion.

Barsaat (Hindi: बर्सात, Urdu: برسات, translation: rain) is a 1995 Bollywood film which was the debut of Bobby Deol, son of veteran actor Dharmendra and Twinkle Khanna, daughter of veteran actor Rajesh Khanna. The film was directed by Rajkumar Santoshi.
