Ten-year-old Arthur (Freddie Highmore) faces the loss of his grandparents' home to greedy real estate developers. Desperate, Arthur travels to the land of the Minimoys, tiny sprites who live in his backyard. Treasure, romance, and certain danger await Arthur on his adventures there, including a struggle with the dark lord Malthazard (the voice of David Bowie). Combining live-action and animation, this is the English-language version of the first family-friendly film by imaginative French auteur Luc Besson (The Fifth Element).

Arthur and the Invisibles (Arthur and the Minimoys in non-English-speaking territories) is a part-animated, part-live action feature film adaptation of the same-name, 2002 children's book and the 2003 sequel Arthur et la cité interdite / Arthur and the Forbidden City by filmmaker Luc Besson, who also directed the film.
