Alex (Griffin Dunne) is bored with his life and his marriage. Then his wife Erica (Brooke Adams) is hit by a car and wheel chair bound. Alex turns his sexual attention to the nurse assigned to assist his wife and that's just the beginning of the complications in this film that takes awkward situations to a whole new level.
