Akele Hum Akele Tum

Kiran and Rohit have similar dreams – to be the best singer in the country. They fall in love and decide to unite their destinies. The next six years pass by in the dollar-a-day grind – Kiran looks after their son, Sonu, while Rohit is out trying to make it as a singer/composer. But Kiran starts to realize that her own aspirations are getting submerged in her husband’s ambition and the role that she has been handed – that of the homemaker. When she can’t get Rohit to see her point of view, things come to a head and Kiran leaves home – leaving Rohit to take care of Sonu. The new dispensation at home begins disastrously, but Rohit rises to the occasion and, by dint of effort and determination, becomes an exemplary father – at the cost of his dreams. Kiran re-enters their lives – now a big movie star. Kiran takes Rohit to court to try to get custody of Sonu – setting up the emotional climax to this heart-felt film.
