Agnivarsha is a Bollywood rendition of the renowned Indian epic, Mahabharata, which is a legendary tale of love and betrayal. A husband dedicates seven years of his life to appease the god of rain in hopes of lifting an endless drought. Meanwhile, his jealous cousin sets to motion a plan to seduce his wife as a means of revenge while his brother attempts to marry outside of his caste. Good battles evil culminating in a final test to see if true love can save them all.
