Xiao Wu’s existence revolves around school, an empty apartment, and the dubious comforts of instant noodles. One day, his routine is subtly transformed by a new tenant in the apartment next door who is nursing a broken heart. Though their paths rarely cross, Xiao Wu desperately yearns to establish a human connection between himself and this other lonely soul, in the darkness that comes just before the dawn.
