i have downloaded movies and every time i try and play them a box pops up n says error and to set my time to the right time if anyone know how to fix it post bk
Since it seems like an incorrect system time is producing the error message encountered on your end, I would suggest checking that your computer clock is accurate, as well as the time zone and Daylight Savings Time settings.
If you happen to have Windows Vista as your operating system, you can update your Window's clock by double-clicking the time displayed in the Windows taskbar, then selecting update time from your server.
You may find further helpful step-by-step instructions by visiting either one of the following sites:
After addressing the time sync issue, I would suggest opening up your Jaman Player, logging in with your Jaman username and password, and then attempting to watch a free trailer, such as the one for “I am Legend”:
If you are able to view this clip without any snags, then it’s a good sign that you most likely have the technical capabilities to download and watch feature-length films through the Jaman player.
Keep me posted once you’ve had a chance to adjust your system’s time and test out a free trailer.
I am have the same promblem i can't play movies. JAMAM tell memy time and date wrong and that not right.,
Also when i download a movie it wont play jaman tell me my session is up
I downloaded the short film 'A Monk's Awakening" and get the dreaded error message:
Jaman Player
Your computer's date and time or Time Zone is not set correctly.
To set your computer's date and time, choose Start Menu > Settings > Control
Panel and click Date and Time.
However, my date and time are set correctly. I have XP sp3, and I can watch trailers
just fine.
Have you tried the instructions above in this thread? You need a correct timezone, time, and daylight savings time setting. Please try the above and if you are still having trouble submit a support request to support@jaman.com.
I keep getting this error message, I have also emailed the "help" email and recieved no reply. My computer time is definatly set correctly, but I did the steps it recommends....again! And same problem! AAAAARRRRR!!!!!!
Wow nico, thanks for all the information! Having all the screenshots and the exact error message really helps in debugging the problem.
One more question I have for you: Do you use any programs that block changes to the registry? I know that some anti-spyware programs like SpyBot, for example, will do that. If you have such a program, it could be causing the bogus error message.
ZoneAlarm seems suspicious, because sites that talk about it mention blocking registry changes. I tried installing it though, and I was still able to play movies with the Jaman player.
I'm actually a developer at Jaman, so if you could send me the Jaman keys in your registry, I might be able to debug the problem. You can send them to a file by going to Start > Run, and typing regedit. Once it launches, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > jaman.com, right click on the folder, and choose export.
Once you have the file, send it as an attachment to support@jaman.com, and ask them to forward it to GingerbreadMan. I'll take a look at it and see if anything is out of place.
Thanks for you patience with this issue; it seems like its affecting a number of people, so I hope we can find the solution.
