I would like to suggest you research the possibility of obtaining movies that have been shown in regional film festivals in the U.S. but which will not make it to a larger audience. Some of these could include the following:

1) Polish film festivals 2) Jewish film festivals 3) Submissions for the best foreign language movie for the oscars, including those that didn't make it and would have little hope of garnering an audience 4) Films by well known artists such as Julie Delpy or Melanie Laurent that haven't been shown wideliy in the U.S. These could include Delpy's earlier films such as Warszawa Annee 5703 or Voyager (1991). Laurent has some interesting films that she made before Inglorious Basterds came out; most recently Jusqu'a Toi with Justin Barth or the newly released Le Concert. I haven't seen any plans for U.S. distribution of either of these.
