HDMI Jaman and 50 inch plasma

I have an hp laptop which comes with an hdmi out cable, I also just purchased a 50 inch panasonic plasma screen with 3 hdmi connections. The coolest part of this combination is the ability to play back jaman movies on my plasma. I was really impressed with how clear the movies were and easy it was to hook my computer in to the plasma. It really is plug and play. Browsing the internet on a 50inch plasma is also pretty cool ;)

Does anyone else have a similar set up they would like to share?

I had a Mac laptop hooked up to an enormous HDTV display via an HDMI cable this weekend and watched 2 films and the first episode of Huge with a bunch of friends this weekend. The films looked beautiful, started playing within 2-3 minutes, and had no hicups.

My laptop doesn't have HDMI output, but my 46" LCD TV has a vga input. So I connect the VGA output from my laptop to the VGA input on the TV and the audio out to the aux jacks in the front of my A/V receiver. The picture quality is excellent. Jaman movies, of course, look great -- but its also possible to watch YouTube videos this way. They look pretty sucky, but at least they are on the big screen.

I have a Logitec DiNovo Mini Bluetooth Keyboard which I use to control the laptop from the couch. It works great!

I did come across a problem with stuttering audio. It seemed to come and go at will. Then I looked into preferences/advanced and changed the setting to 3d hardware acceleration and it went away. ;)
