Charade is a classic, great to watch with the family! Mr Ripley is a terrific thriller to watch with friends. Clueless is perfect to watch and re-watch for a girls' night in. And Step Into Liquid is amazing anytime. It's also a great movie to play in the background, there's so much scenic eyecandy!

Favorite movies of 2008 are: Iron Man and Wall-E. Memorable movies of the year include Burn After Reading, Horton Hears a Who!, Twilight and the Bond movie. And movies I'm still waiting to watch that should be fantastic are Pineapple Express, Benjamin Button, and Changeling. Can't wait to see everyone else's faves :)

In a year that has brought us so many wonderful films, my regret is that I only have so limited time and the unfortunate clairvoyance of hindsight to actually enjoy the ones that matter. Out of the ones that I did watch, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button stands out, followed closely by The Dark Knight, Iron Man, Wall-E, and Slumdog Millionaire. I do suspect however, that amongst the films released this holiday season such as Doubt, Changeling, Gran Turino, and Revolutionary Road, there remains more gems to be found.

Edit: Honorable mentions go to Planet B-Boy and Ping Pong Playa, both of which were featured at film festivals this year and were huge crowd pleasers. The Fall gets the award for most spectacular scenery.

Such a great year of film. The ones that lodged themselves in my mind most were Happy-Go-Lucky, I Have Loved You So Long, Vicky Christina Barcelona (Penelope does mad well) and Revolutionary Road (got a sneek peek!)

Still, I'm old school and so my favorite this year isn't from this year. Charade: what a lady can manage between the slopes of the Alps to losing all the gowns in the closet of the Paris pad!
