Welcome to Jaman! With regard to your question above, there is definitely a simple way in Jaman to search for movies by film title or cast member:
Enter the name of the actor/actress or the film in the search box at the top of the site (on the right side of this page) and hit the Search button.
This will yield all results, be it movies, trailers, or discussion entries, associated with that search term on the Jaman site.
Thanks for your question and feel free to share your thoughts with our movie community about any films you see on Jaman by providing an accompanying candid review . . . .
In terms of watching movies through Jaman, I wanted to let you know that you will have to register through the site, have the minimum technical requirements, and download the Jaman Player.
Please feel free to review the follow pages with useful information about the site:
After registering with the site, I would suggest right off the bat to dowload the Player (see the link below for "Download the Jaman Player").
Then, try watching a free trailer from the Jaman site, such as for "I am Legend" (http://www.jaman.com/movie/Am-Legend-Trailer/0nKO7pNldJmE/), to test whether you have the technical capabilities to watch movies through Jaman.
If all goes well with viewing the trailer, then you should be in good shape to download movies through the site.
I have downloaded the Jaman play and my first movie is being downloaded.
However I still feel the "Search for movie" on Jaman can still be improved.
For example I clicked on genre - Drama, I was presented with a grid of movie titles and small picture and a short description.
Why, can I not have an option to simply see the title?
Ok, after that changed the "Sort by" to 'by Title' still presented with a grid, (12 movies per page with a total of 73 'pages')
I wanted to see a list of all movies whose name started by 'R'; it was a big exercise scrolling so many pages.
There was no option to jump to the next set of 10 pages (or something similar)
I could only move 2 page sets @ a time or directly to the end. (which had films with name starting with W and Z)
so scrolled backwards again 2 pages @ a time till I reached R......whew!
Giving the name/ title or actor/ actress name in the search field (top right) gives me a list but not what I expected.
The only conclusion - Jaman does not carry the movie I would like to see (or can see if I order a DVD from NetFlix or in cinema in the mall)
Your detailed feedback on how to improve upon the search function in Jaman is much appreciated and I am definitely forwarding it to the team here. I can definitely understand how #2 listed above might impede a fast and quick search when you're in the mood to find a particular title in the library.
Jaman is continuously adding new titles so the content offering of the site is expanding all the time. The idea is to provide a platform where members can depend on finding an eclectic blend of films from local to global, independent to blockbuster. Each week, there's an interesting mix of films being rolled out and waiting to surprise the members of Jaman.
