Any fight film fans here actually practice any martial arts? I used to ages ago. When I was a kid I took judo and then later tried my hand at aikido. Learning how to properly fall probably helped save me from serious damage when I got hit by a car! I was on my bike, was hit by the car, bounced off the hood and automatically broke my fall when I hit the ground! Haven't taken any courses for awhile, but every New Year I think about it...
Hwang In Shik, the bad guy from YOUNG MASTER and DRAGON LORD, has a school here in my town. I did an interview with him and he wanted me to join the school, but he is so tough and I heard stories about broken bones! I guess I have to toughen up if I want to be a hapkido killing maching! He taught Angela Mao and Sammo Hung!

Back in 72 I started training Judo with master Coutinho from the Kobayashi Federation, in 79 I was on my top forms and started preparations for National Competitions, in 82/83/85/87 I was awarded National Champion on the Kobayashi group, went to France in 89 for a friendly competition evolving Portugal, Spain, France and Germany, I won this tournament and offered the trophy to the Coutinho School of Judo, all the trophy's are now exposed to the public in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal in the museum Jose Malhoa, since master Coutinho passed away. In 1990 started to mix Judo with Full-Contact as a new personal achievement, but a few years later I end up all trainings due physical pressure and life changes.
My 6 years old son has just started Taecondo here in the United Kingdom.
