There are quite a few movies at this year's Sundance that I cannot wait to see. A lot of them are movies that'll hit an indie film house near me some time in the next year - - 'Be Kind Rewind' by the always delightful and sweet natured Michel Gondry, 'U23D' - are you kidding! uh, awesome!, 'Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden' directed by Morgan Spurlock of Supersize Me fame.
But the one I'm most interested in is the doc 'Up the Yangtze' about the making of the Three Gorges Dam in China, a project I first saw footage of in last years Manufactured Landscapes, another powerful Canadian doc.
Even though the 'Hollywood Indie' movies Sundance showcases every year continues to grow they never lack for fantastic world cinema treats and powerful documentaries that need to be seen. But time after time those movies fall into obscurity. Let's hope Jaman can help them find the light and help us find them!
What movies are you most looking forward to out of this years Sundance crop?
