2008 NY INTERNATIONAL LATINO FILM FESTIVAL
December 7, 2007 (New York, NY) – Approaching nine years of celebrating Latino cinematic excellence, the New York International Latino Film Festival (NYILFF) announces its open call for 2008 applicant entries for film submissions in all genres. The deadline is Friday March 14, 2008.
Deadlines to submit U.S. and international films for the 2008 NYILFF are:
March 14, 2008 – OFFICIAL DEADLINE
April 11, 2008 – LATE DEADLINE
Showcasing films that present a cross-section of the diverse Latino culture to an audience of over 20,000 film fans and industry executives from throughout the U.S., the NYILFF is now the premiere marketplace for Latino film.
The NYILFF will consider films from North, Central and South America and the Caribbean made by, featuring, about and/or for the Latino community. It also will consider all forms: feature narrative, short films, documentary and experimental shorts. All projects must have been completed by no earlier than 2006. Projects in a language other English must have English subtitles. Films cannot have been broadcast (television or Internet) or distributed commercially in the U.S. prior to the festival. Exceptions are made for short films and documentaries. All genres are welcome.

El Cantante, Bella, Favela Rising, Quinceañera, Rikers High, Imagining Argentina, Girlfight, Raising Victor Vargas, Empire, Crazy/Beautiful, Nicotina, A Day Without a Mexican, Undefeated, Manito, Washington Heights, Rhythm of The Saints...to name a few.

Con mucho amor y vigorozo trabajo hemos empezado a construir el camino para EL PRIMER FESTIVAL DE CORTOMETRAJES POETICO LATINO AMERICANO en el local NUYORICAN Poets Café. El festival presentara filmes Poeticos de Cinematografos Latino Americanos. El Festival de Cortometraje Latino Americano Poetico esta aceptando sometimientos para el primer festival. Nuestro mission es sostenerla independencia de Artistas. Proporcionando a Ellos la exposicion en THE NUYORICAN POETS CAFE el Centro Cultural, localizado LOISIADA, lugar donde los Artistas pueden presentar sus trabajo a variada audencia, encontrada en la intima atmosfera, para reunirse E intercambio de ideas. El Festival de Cortometraje Latino Americano Poetico esta programado para el Septiembre del 2008.
