Folks like me who prefer to see films theatrically are challenged on a number of fronts - limited venues, conservative distributors, and other economic and cultural factors that can only be speculated.
Film festivals remain the best opportunity to catch films off the radar of mainstream cinema. Often they're the ONLY opportunity to catch such films.
