Between yesterday and today,I have downloaded 2 movies. Neither one is playable, with the admonishment: Error: This movie no longer exists on your system. Unable to play it.
When I look for the movies, they are RIGHT THERE, on my desktop where they were directed. Opening their properties shows no faults.
Are they corrupted? How? Should I re-download them? Can I re-download without a fee?
Perhaps it is relevant...It took well over 30 hours to download these guys, and I haven't figured that one out, either.
iclaudius,
It's odd that the films would be on your desktop. Do you mean that, in the Jaman player, you changed their default download destination to the desktop? That's fine, but it sounds like your player is looking for the films in a different folder.
In the Jaman player, try clicking File: Add Movies, then navigate to wherever you believe you saved your films. That should reconnect the media to the library. I see that you've downloaded only one film, but maybe my records aren't up to date.
Aorin,
I misspoke.
I tried putting the movies on my desktop, but that didn't improve anything, and they are still in the Jaman folder, as you suggest.
When I click on the movie White Rush, Jaman Player says:
Error: This movie no longer exists on your system. Unable to play it.
The movie is clearly in the Jaman folder where it was originally saved, but it is totally inaccessible.
I also downloaded Urchin into the same folder. When I click on it (to enable it - as it was in my wish list), I get the same error message.
Shall I attempt to re-download these movies? And if I do, do I lose a credit for each?
You don't have to download them again, we just have to get the Jaman player to realize that they're still there.
The default location for Jaman movies is, in Windows, My Documents\My Videos\Jaman Videos
If this is where you originally downloaded to, and if this where you place the videos, they should play. So, I'd suspect that's not where they current reside.
Instead, you could delete the films from the library (right click on them in the library and click delete), and then, go File: Add Movies, and find the films. It'll take a second to download the lisences, but they should play fine if the rental hasn't expired.
