It's absolutely worth the trouble - it's a wonderful film, nigh on perfect in my opinion - but I'm surprised that you are finding it difficult to find; I wouldn't expect it be hard to find. Where are you located - what country? Amazon.com claims that its partner retailers have it for under $20.

Lagaan kicks all butt! Find a copy for sure. You can order it on Nehaflix.com (dangerous place for me to go...love that $5.99 DVD section...) or Amazon for around $20. And I'd be amazed if Netflix didn't carry it.

Thanks guys! I'll have to check those two places...I'm in the U.S. but usually don't order Bollywood dvds from Amazon because I've gotten some lemons. But if I have no other choice, I guess it would be worth the risk if its such a great movie!

Nidanisa, the movie is great, and I'm sure you can get it at some of your local video stores - or even the library! I was just visiting my parents, who live in a small college town in Virginia, and their Blockburster even had it! (It was one of about three Indian movies they had.) But definitely don't pay $40 for it. Keep us posted on what you decide to do!
