Congratulations Tanuj!

Director Tanuj Chopra filmed PATS in 17 days with a group of kids from a nonprofit in Queens, NY. The film made it to Sundance and Tribeca, and was received by the community with open arms.

But, you couldn't see it beyond the festivals. Going the way of independent films overlooked by traditional studio distribution......till now that is.

Coming soon to Jaman, Punching at the Sun!

Let the people decide what they want to see

Caught this film at Sundance and am very pleased to see it out there for a global audience. What you'll find in "Punching at the Sun" is an authentic vision of Queens unlike any you'll ever find in a studio film as it turns the cinematic lens on people whose stories are rarely, if ever, told in film. This coming-of-age story is told with both heart and humor, with an eye that reveals a tenderness for its characters and their struggles but still manages to avoid being overly sentimental. A strong debut by a talented filmmaker, definitely someone to watch.

This was good. I'm surprised it was shot in only 17 days!
