Jaman at the Bollywood vs Yorkshire cricket
Friday, June 8th
The Bollywood stars came out in force at the legendary Headingley stadium in Leeds to give the Yorkshire side a thrashing. The stadium was packed full of people of cheering the Bollywood side on as the sun beat down creating the illusion of a real Indian summer! I wonder what Norman Tebbit would have made of it all!
The Bollywood starlets also came out to support their leading men. Here's Bipasha Basu who recently finished filming Goal. Goal was partially shot at the "Theatre of Dreams", Old Trafford, Manchester United's ground and has all the elements of having broad international appeal.
We think our own Faisal Galaria has a thing for Geeta Basra whose film, The Train was premiered at the IIFAs yesterday. Firstly we see him with her on the green carpet at the premiere and now we've spotted them together taking a break from the cricket today...
Our very own Geetanjali, ready for a post IIFA cricket party, full Bollywood style!

Meet the UK Jaman street team! They are dancers at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance. You'll see them all over Leeds today meeting film fans. If you see them ask them for a special invitation and you'll be able to download 5 films free!
The Deol family were at the IIFA cafe for lunch today. We caught up with Daddy Dharmendra whilst he gave an impromptu speech thanking all his fans and addressing the solidarity of the Asian diaspora in the UK in contrast to the situation in the sub-continent. Heavy - but wise words!
From the green carpet premiere
Thursday, June 7th
Today was the Premiere of The Train at the IIFAs and look who met on the Green Carpet (they don't have a red carpet here!). Geeta Basru is the beautiful star of the film and stopped by to say "Hi."
Here's our own Geetanjali strutting her stuff down the green carpet and loving the glitz of a Bollywood Premiere UK style!
She's irrepressible! Here she is again mixing it with the stars...this time with up and coming London boy Upen Patel. After the meeting she only had one thing to say - shakalaka boom boom!
Jaman at the IIFA cafe
Thursday, June 7th
We just missed Shilpa Shetty having lunch today at the IIFA Cafe - the Agraah in Leeds but we'll be back tomorrow where we're told there will be more Bollywood stars. If you're in the area check it out they are showing Jaman films in the VIP room.
We arrived in Leeds for the IIFAs!

Guess who we saw in Leeds today before the Awards begin? The Big B was lending a helping hand at Oxfam. Not sure the saree would suit him though :) The IIFA events kick off tomorrow and we're looking forward to posting lots of news right here!
