A former police chief enlists two conmen in a mission of revenge against the violent bandit Gabbar Singh. Our heroes find love, adventure, and redemption during their battle with Singh. Sholay's influences, including westerns (like The Magnificent Seven) and gritty crime dramas of the 1970s, are combined with Bollywood's customary musical elements and a wonderful all-star cast. Sholay played on some screens for years after its release, and remains a favorite today.
