Eklavya (Amitabh Bachchan) is a devoted but aging bodyguard at a castle in Rajasthan. The death of the region’s queen begins a tragic story in which the royal family’s closely guarded secrets are revealed and Eklavya’s faith is sorely tested. Director Vidhu Vinod Chopra returns after a seven-year hiatus to craft this Shakespearean epic, India’s submission for the 2007 Best Foreign Language Film Oscar.
